The certification trap

I read an article about life coaching.

People are spending literally thousands of dollars with the promise to receive a paper.

Well, this paper is worthless unless you practice.

Practice is worthless unless you can reach out to your target group.

Reaching out to the target group is worthless unless you have strong credentials and track record.

Suddenly, you might realize the hard truth - the certificate is not enough. The skills you need to build a coaching business are the same skills needed to build any other business.

There are no shortcuts. Don't fall into the trap that a certificate gives you the permission to be successful.

The messy meeting

When you know there will be a messy meeting and there is nothing you can do about it, the best thing to do is to avoid it. Messy people produce messy meetings, and they take the time and the energy of everyone who is part of it. That is why instead of being part of this drama, find a better team and better meetings to invest your precious energy.
